The Assessment Pattern and Promotion Policy are :

(i) We are following the new Uniform System of Assessment. This new scheme will bring the uniformity in the system of assessment and examination for classes IX and X in our school to increase the confidence in the students to start preparing for class X Board examination when they join the upper primary stage in class VI, as board instructed and we implement the uniform system of assessment, examination pattern and issue of report cards for classes VI to VIII also on the similar pattern. In classes through evaluation of scholastic and co-scholastics areas spread over two terms in an academic year. Each term will have TWO PERIODIC TEST and ONE Half Yearly Exam / Yearly Exam for evaluation of scholastic areas. We follow this upper primary (VI-VIII) pattern in primary stage (I-V) also so that the student get familiar since primary stage easily get success in higher level.

(ii) The weight age of Periodic Test, Note Book, Subject Enrichment in classes shall be as follows:-

Part – 1: Scholastic Area

Subjects TERM-1 (100 marks) (1st half of the session) 20 marks Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Half Yearly Exam TERM-2 (100 marks) (2nd half of the session) 20 marks Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Yearly Exam

PA 20 marks

Average of all Periodic Test 10 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of test dates by school.

Note Book Submission 5 marks at term-end.

Sub Enrichment 5 marks at term-end.

Half Yearly Exam

Written exam for 80 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of Half Yearly exam dates by school.

Student has to secure 33% marks out of 80 marks in each subject.

PA 20 marks

Average of all Periodic Test 10 marks with syllabus covered till announcement of test dates by school.

Note Book Submission 5 marks at term-end.

Sub Enrichment 5 marks at term-end.

Yearly Exam : Written exam for 80 marks with syllabus coverage as below:

Class VI : 10% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term.

Class VII : 20% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term.

Class VIII : 30% of 1st term covering significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term.

Student has to secure 33% marks out of 80 marks in each subject.

School/Board will conduct Class – IX/X Examination respectively for 80 marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus of the subject of class IX & X only.

Marks and grades both will be awarded for individual subjects.

9 – Points grading will be same as followed by the board in Class XII.
